First of all, like everything from Free League, the production quality is top-notch. Tons of materials, dice, cards, a map, and pre-generated characters. Beautiful illustrations and high-quality paper. Secondly, the content—concise rules, short adventures, and great atmosphere. That’s where it falters a bit; the adventures feel more like a railroad, a "good read" from the LOTR world, as if they prioritized the atmosphere over the actual gameplay. It feels like they wanted to please both Tolkien fans and RPG players, but leaned more towards the former. That’s why I think beginner RPG players should look for a different starter set, but beginners who love Middle-earth shouldn't look anywhere else.
V prvom rade, ako všetko od Free League, aj tu je produkčná kvalita na top úrovni. Kopa materiálov, kocky, kartičky, mapa, predpripravené postavy. Nádherné ilustrácie, kvalitný papier. V druhom rade, obsah - stručné pravidlá, krátke dobrodružstvá a atmosféra. A práve tu to trošku kríva, dobrodružstvá sú skôr taký railroad, “počteníčko” zo sveta LOTR, akoby práve tú atmosféru uprednostnili pred hrou. Akoby chceli potešiť aj milovníkov Tolkiena, aj RPG hráčov, pričom na tých prvých sa myslelo viac. Preto si myslím, že začínajúci RPG hráči by mali siahnuť po inom starter sete, no začínajúci hráči milujúci Stredozem nech po inom než tomto ani už nesiahajú.
