An excellent game for younger players. I definitely recommend buying the Czech version, as it's ideal for playing with younger kids. You keep an eye on the rules while they just have fun.

The storybook mechanic works perfectly, and the other principles are very simple. The game is practically a substitute for a tabletop RPG, but you don't need a Game Master.

The miniatures are beautifully crafted, and the entire art style has a lovely fairy-tale feel.

Výborná hra pro mladší hráče. Určitě bych doporučil koupit českou verzi, jelikož je idealní hrát hru s mladšími hráči. Dáte pozor na pravidla a oni se pouze baví.

Mechanika příběhové knížky skvěle funguje a ostatní principy jsou velice jednoduché. Hra je prakticky náhradou za stolní RPG, kde ale nepotřebujete vypravěče.

Figurky jsou krásně zpracovaně a celá grafika má krásný pohádkový nádech.

A game that both kids and adults will enjoy.
The rules are quite simple, yet complex and highly replayable. The story is vibrant, drawing kids in while still keeping adults entertained. I think the game design using a storybook with chapters is excellent.
The component quality is what you'd expect from PlaidHat Games. Plus, you can download rule variants/expansions and an extra story on their website. The miniatures are truly polished. Kids have no trouble identifying with even the less desirable character traits (like the elephant's cowardice).
The English language is a separate chapter. Basic knowledge is enough to understand the rules and the core story. If you want to fully enjoy the depth of the theme, you'll need a better grasp of English. It's worth noting that the theme is the real backbone of this game. Hopefully, the planned Czech translation turns out well (though the chosen catchy title 'Plyšová hlídka' doesn't exactly inspire much confidence).

Hra kterou si užijí děti i dospělí.
Pravidlově docela jednoduché, nicméně komplexní a znovukratelné. Příběh barevný, který vtáhne děti a pamatuje i na dospělé. Nápad hry formou knihy s příběhy a kapitolami kvituji jako výtečný.
Kvalita komponent obvyklá pro PlaidHat Games. Na jejich webu jsou navíc k stažení varianty/doplnění pravidel a další příběh. Figuky jsou opravdu vymazlené. Děti nemají nejmenší potíž identifikovat se i s méně žádoucými vlastnostmi postav (třeba bojácnost sloníka).
Samostatnou kapitolou je angličtina. Pro pochopení pravidel a kostry příběhu postačí nějaký ten základ. Pokud si někdo rád užívá hloubku tématu, tak bude potřebovat ovládat angličtinu o něco lépe. Nutno podotknout, že téma je u této hry opravdu nosné a stěžejní. Snad se povede chystaný český překlad (bohužel zvolený líbivý název Plyšová hlídka tomu moc nenasvědčuje).

I don't even know what to write, because the game is so magical that its Platonic ideal is impossible to describe. It's an upgrade to the original M&M storybook-based format, where you truly step into the book as your game board. The story is fairytale-like yet educational, raising several life questions and lessons for your little ones, as well as for you.
The book itself offers this at the end of every story, providing discussion questions directly. Compared to M&M, it's more of a sandbox, and the replayability is genuinely worth it thanks to your choices :) Each story also brings a Stitch tale with its own plot and moral—essentially a fable. The figures are high quality, as are the components. To the touch, the cards feel like the material in Takenoko, which is incredibly pleasant to hold. I wouldn't even sleeve them, despite the effort of localizing them :)
The rules are truly simple and not overly complex, but that doesn't take away from the difficulty, which can be significantly increased via DLC content from the PHG website. Even so, don't worry—it's still a challenge. It has beaten us quite a few times, and reaching the non-waking ending isn't easy.
The English isn't groundbreaking, and anyone familiar with TV shows who knows a few phrases can easily decipher it and narrate/read the story. Btw, the game can be played with 2 players, with each person controlling their own hero without needing to manage multiple characters; the rules are prepared for this and account for it—the balance is great.

Nevím co napsat, protože hra je tak kouzelná, že její Platonovskou ideu nelze popsat. Jedná se o vylepšení původního modelu z M&M storybook based formátu, kdy opravdu přecházíte do knihy jako hrací plochy. Příběh je pohádkový, ale i poučný a dá se nad ním vznést několik životních otázek a poučení pro vaše ratolesti, ale i pro vás.
Což ostatně kniha sama nabízí na konci každého příběhu a otázky k diskuzi vám rovnou napíše. Oproti M&M více sandbox a znovuhratelnost díky volbám opravdu stojí za to :) Každý příběh pak s sebou přináší i Stitchovu pohádku, se svým dějem a poučením, resp. se jedná o bajku. Figurky vysoké kvality a komponenty taky. Na omak jsou karty podobné materiálu Takenoko, které jsou neskutešně příjemné do ruky. Ani za cenu počešťování bych je neobaloval :)
Pravidla jsou vskutku jednoduchá, ne příliš komplexní, avšak to nebere na obtížnosti, která díky DLC obsahu z PHG stránek lze značně ztížit, ale i tak se nemusíte bát, že by to nebyla žádná výzva. Už několikrát nás pěkně pojela a dohrát non waking konec není jednoduché.
Angličtina není nijak objevná a běžný znalec seriálů s pár frázemi je schopen ji lehce přelouskat a příběh odvyprávět/přečíst. Btw hra lze hrát i ve 2, jakožto každý se svým hrdinou, bez potřeby ovládat více postaviček, pravidla jsou na tuto možnost připravena a počítají s tím - vyváženost skvělá.

Hru jednoznačně doporučuji, je úžasná ve všech směrech :)
