Sintra® (Armour Plate) is a very hard and extremely durable PVC sheet. It is popular among cosplayers, especially for crafting various types of armor. It is a favorite material for creating Mandalorian armor.
We recommend cutting it with a jigsaw or very carefully using a utility knife. You can easily heat-shape the sheet using a heat gun. It is sandable. Painting is very easy and comparable to painting smooth plastic.
We recommend using acrylic sprays and a primer as a base.

I've been working with soft PVC until now, and even though it looks the same at first glance, it really isn't. Cosplayers all over the world use Sitra, and they know why. It shapes well; it just takes a bit of practice and, most importantly, patience. Don't worry about messing up, though—you can always straighten it out again.
It sands down nicely, and you can trim small details with a craft knife or scalpel. Just don't rush it, and the results will follow. For filling seams, a sandable latex wood filler works perfectly. I'm super happy with it and can't wait for my new armor to be finished!
Doposud jsem pracovala s měkčeným PVC a přestože to na první pohled vypadá, že je materiál stejný - skutečně není. Sitru používají cosplayeři po celém světě a vědí proč. Tvaruje se dobře, chce to trochu praxe a hlavně trpělivosti, ale nemusíš se bát, že cokoli pokazíš, vždycky ji jde znovu narovnat.
Dobře se brousí, jednoduché drobnosti lze odřezat nožíkem nebo skalpelem. Chce to jen nespěchat a výsledek se dostaví. Na zatažení spojů se hodí brousitelný, latexový tmel na dřevo. Jsem s ní hrozně spokojená a těším se, až bude můj nový armor hotový!
