I bought this bow as a Christmas gift for my girlfriend since she mentioned she wanted one. My own bow felt a bit weak, and since I found this one at such a great price, I decided to get one for myself too. I don't know how she'll react yet, but I've already tried mine and I'm extremely satisfied :) It comes with a manual that includes some useful tips for complete beginners, and the draw weight feels perfect for both backyard target practice and LARP, not to mention the possibilities for customizing its look ;)

Luk jsem pořídil jako dárek své přítelkyni na Vánoce, jelikož se zmiňovala že by jeden chtěla, jelikož však můj vlastní luk už mi připadal slabý a našel jsem tento za tak dobrou cenu rozhodl jsem se ho pořídit také, nevím ještě jak bude reagovat přítelkyně, ale já už jsem luk zkoušel a jsem nadmíru spokojen :) dorazí i spolu s návodem kde se pro úplné začátečníky dá dozvědět pár užitečných drobností a síla nátahu mi přijde ideální jak pro domácí střelbu, tak třeba pro larp, nehledě na možnosti vlastních vizuálních úprav ;)

The bow arrived quickly and without any issues. I followed the instructions (shooting at half draw, then three-quarter draw, and only then full draw) and had a blast with it. I'm writing in the past tense because the bow broke on me during the winter. But that's just the weakness of PVC bows – low temperatures. I don't blame the manufacturer for that.

In the meantime, I bought a proper longbow from a pro shop, and although it's great, I'm considering buying this Scythian bow again. It's fun, relatively accurate, doesn't get boring even for non-beginners, it's easy to shoot, and I can paint it however I like. What more could you ask for?

Luk prišiel rýchlo a bez problémov. Riadila som sa pokynmi v návode (strieľať na polovičný, trištvrťový náťah, až potom naplno) a luk ma ohromne bavil. Píšem v minulom čase, pretože luk sa mi v zime zlomil. Ale to je, holt, asi tá slabosť PVC lukov - nízke teploty. Nekladiem to za vinu výrobcovi.

Medzitým som si kúpila poriadny longbow v profi obchode a hoci je skvelý, znovu zvažujem aj kúpu tohto skýtskeho luku. Je zábavný, pomerne presný, neomrzí ani ne-začiatočníka, dobre sa z neho strieľa a môžem si ho namaľovať podľa svojich predstáv. Čo viac si človek môže priať.

A bit stiffer with high penetration. Not for complete beginners. Fits well in the hand.

Trochu tužší s vysokou průrazností. Nebude pro úplné začátečníky. Dobře sedí v ruce.

This bow is great. You can really have fun with it and customize it to your needs. It shoots well, and after some modifications, you can't even tell it's made of PVC. Highly recommended.

Luk je skvělý, člověk se na něm dokáže pořádně vyřádit a dohotovit si ho dle svých potřeb. Kvalitně střílí a po úpravě ani nejde poznat že je vyroben z PVC. Vřele doporučuji

I bought 2 pieces in the summer just before the Battle of Notorburg. Thanks to Imago for the lightning-fast delivery—it's a lifesaver when you realize at the last minute that you're going. The paint held up well; it's better to roughen the surface with sandpaper and degrease it thoroughly. I followed the instructions strictly and fired over 150 arrows at half and three-quarter draw before the event. Once fully drawn (using the recommended arrow length), it shot nicely to a distance of about 30 meters, even with the foam head.

Koupil sem 2 ks v létě těsně před bitvou o Notorburg, děkuji Imagu za bleskové dodání, super ve chvíli, když si někdo vzpomene na poslední chvíli, že by jel. Barva na něm držela dobře, lepší zdrsnit povrch šmirglem a pořádně odmastit, řídil sem se striktně návodem a před akcí vystřílel přes 150 šípů na poloviční a tříčtvrteční natáh, když se pak natáhl naplno (předepsaná délka šípů) tak i s látkovou hlavicí střílel pěkně do vzdálenosti kolem 30 metru

This bow snapped on me about a year and a half ago, around the five-hundredth draw. I got a refund, and for a long time, I was afraid to touch any bow. But that was probably my own mistake because I was using slightly longer arrows and overdrawing it. I decided to buy the bow again (I wrapped it in fleece for looks and for safety in case it snaps again, though I'm not as worried about that now). You really need to follow the rules—watch your arrow length, mind the temperature, and always unstring the bow. It’s genuinely dangerous when that plastic snaps. Otherwise, it’s a great bow, and I’m happy with it. 5 stars.

Tento luk mi před rokem a půl při cca pěti stém nátahu praskl. Peníze mi byly vráceny a pak jsem se delší dobu bála na jakýkoliv luk sáhnout. Ale to však byla asi možná chyba moje protože jsem na luk používala trochu delší šípy a luk tak přetahovala. Rozhodla jsem se luk koupit znovu, (obmotala jsem ho fleecem pro vzhledové účely + bezpečnost kdyby mi v budocnu prasknul, ale toho se už tolik nebojím) Je třeba se řídit pravidly.. dávat si pozor na délku šípů, teplotu a vždy vypínat tětivu.... je to fakt nebezpečné když ten plast praskne. Jinak je to super luk, jsem s ním spokojena. 5 hvězdiček.

The second bow has finally arrived! Now I can fully focus on training my wife in archery since we each have our own. They met our expectations and surprised us with their craftsmanship and quality. The size is just right for shooting on horseback, standing, or kneeling.

Už je doma aj druhý luk ? takže už sa výcviku manželky v lukostreľbe môžem venovať naplno keďže každý máme svoj luk. Splnili očakávanie, prekvapili spracovaním aj kvalitou, veľkosť akurat vhodná aj na streľbu počas jazdy na koni, v stoji aj v poklaku.

I've had this bow for 2 years now. I'm not an active archer; I only use it for target practice in the garden. It's perfectly sufficient for beginners or intermediate archers, which is my case.

I'm happy with the bow and can recommend it for occasional recreational shooting. I added a leather grip to the bow and painted it red and black. In my opinion, a big advantage is the nocking point marked on the string.

Luk mám již 2 roky. Nejsem aktivním střelcem, používám ho pouze ke střelbě na zahradě. Naprosto dostačuje pro začátečníky/středně pokročilé, což je můj případ.

S lukem jsem spokojen a mohu ho doporučit na rekreační občasné střílení. Luk jsem opatřil koženou rukojetí a nabarvil si ho do červeno-černa. Velkou výhodou dle mého názoru je vyznačení prostoru na tětivě pro založení šípu.

It's sturdy and perfect for my planned modifications. Even in white, it might pass for wood to some. An ideal choice for a beginner LARPer.

Je pevný a jelikož mám v plánu si ho ještě nějak upravit, tak ideální. I v bílé barvě se někomu může zdát jako dřevo. A na larp pro začátečníka ideál.
