This pendant is a unique piece of the universe that you can keep with you at all times!
A million years ago, a metallic body—a fragment of an asteroid core—hurtled through space, eventually finding its way to Earth. As it passed through the atmosphere, the meteorite broke into many pieces with a deafening roar and a flash of light, landing in northern Scandinavia, beyond the Arctic Circle. The first fragment was discovered in 1906 near the village of Kitkiöjoki.
The meteorite is classified as a fine octahedrite of type IVA. Its surface is covered in characteristic rust caused by weathering, and beautiful Widmanstätten patterns appear after acid etching. It consists primarily of iron (over 91%) and nickel (about 8.4%), with minor traces of gallium, germanium, and iridium.
Every piece comes with an unlimited certificate of authenticity from the International Meteorite Collectors Association (I.M.C.A.).
