This image album was created before the soundtrack. It features music composed by the legendary Japanese composer Joe Hisaishi, based on the artistic concept and imagery of the anime film My Neighbor Totoro by the great Japanese director Hayao Miyazaki. Hisaishi received instructions to compose songs that children would want to sing along to happily. Did he succeed?
The recording comes on a vinyl record, accompanied by a 16-page booklet with sheet music.
