Description
Hattari is a bluffing game for 3 to 4 players where you put your deduction skills to the test. The game is played in rounds. In each round, character silhouettes are secretly dealt to players, three are placed on the table as suspects, and one is placed as the victim. The silhouettes have values from 2 to 8, and one is blank. You must identify the perpetrator of the crime or convince others to accuse an innocent person.
At the start of a Hattari round, all players look at their silhouette and pass it to the player on their right. Then, they look at the newly received silhouette. Now it's time to find the culprit! But how, you ask? Starting with the first player, each player secretly looks at two potential suspect silhouettes or at a suspect and the victim, which they can then swap. Afterward, they place their accusation token on one silhouette. The next player continues, but they must not look at the silhouette that just received an accusation token. Once all players have placed their tokens, the situation is resolved.
So, who is the perpetrator in Hattari? It is the silhouette with the highest number, unless silhouette no. 5 is among the suspects; in that case, the perpetrator is the silhouette with the lowest value. The silhouette without a number is always innocent. If the accusation is correct, the player takes their token back; if it is incorrect, the token is flipped to its colored side and the player places it in front of them. At the end of the game, the player with the fewest colored tokens in front of them wins.
