Mytago 2026 Editorial Plan

An overview of the most exciting things Mytago is preparing for 2026: gamebook returns, licensed hits, and modern RPGs.

Mytago 2026 Editorial Plan

Mytago is our sister publishing house focused on story-driven games – tabletop RPGs and gamebooks that turn reading into an active adventure. We bet on strong worlds, atmosphere, and choices with consequences. Everything is 100% offline, no apps or screens – just imagination, story, and gameplay.

The year 2026 will be truly packed for Mytago. We are preparing the return of legendary gamebook series, major licensed titles, and modern RPGs focused on storytelling and atmosphere. You can look forward to fantasy, horror, noir, post-apo, and accessible games for newcomers.

Below you will find an overview of titles planned for 2026. This is a selection of what we are most excited about, but that's not all! You can find all upcoming titles on the Mytago website.

For Tabletop RPG Players

Mytago ediční plán 2026

Knave 2 👑

The second edition of Knave is essentially a small rulebook Bible I would swear by without hesitation. It opens the gates to pure old-school gaming without unnecessary bureaucracy. It is an ideal gift not only for OSR system lovers but also for D&D players who want to trade studying manuals for fast-paced and uncompromising action.

Dragonaer 🐉

A new official world Dragonaer for the Jeskyně a draci system, which is also fully compatible with the fifth edition of Dungeons and Dragons. Born from the blood of endless battles, wars, and famous duels, this unique setting brings raw aesthetics and rich mythology to players and Game Masters alike.

Ruins of Symbaroum 🌲

If you love the 5th edition D&D (5e) system or the Czech Jeskyně a draci and are looking for a darker and more dangerous world, Ruins of Symbaroum 5E is the perfect choice. The trio of modules brings unique mechanics, the visually stunning and oppressive Davokar forest, and plenty of high-quality gaming material.

Dračí doupě k6 🎲

A modern and fast-paced variant of the Czech legend in the field of role-playing games. Instead of complex tables and percentages, it uses a simple system with six-sided dice, making the game accessible to beginners and children without losing that authentic "Dračák" atmosphere of dungeon crawling and fighting monsters.

Read our interview with York about the upcoming game on our blog: Dračí doupě k6: What will the new version of the legend bring?

Kobolds Ate My Baby! 🍗

A humorous and slightly bizarre RPG where you play as wretched kobolds whose only goal is to steal a human baby for King Torg's feast (All Hail King Torg!). The game is famous for its absurdity and the rule that whenever a player does something stupid or bad luck strikes, their character will likely die in a very comical way.

City of Mist 🌫️

A revolutionary narrative RPG that blends the noir detective genre with superhero myths. Together with other players, you will play as ordinary people who are hosts (avatars) of legendary characters (like King Arthur or Snow White), balancing your mundane life with a supernatural mission in a city that remembers nothing.

Svitky hrdinů 📜

A modern Czech tabletop RPG referred to as the "new generation of Dračák." Instead of lengthy rules and combat with miniatures, it focuses on dynamic storytelling inspired by modern RPGs (e.g., Apocalypse World). The game uses simple narrative "moves" and dice rolls (2d10), where even failure moves the plot forward in an interesting way.

Candela Obscura 🕯️

A role-playing game from the creators of Critical Role. It is a horror RPG set at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, focused on investigating paranormal phenomena. The book is a beautiful artifact in itself, and the system is built on quick decision-making that emphasizes atmosphere and tension.

Heroes' Feast 🍲

The official cookbook from the world of Dungeons & Dragons, which elevates the culinary experience to the level of a fantasy adventure. It contains recipes ranging from elven breads to dwarven stews that are genuinely edible and delicious.

For Gamebook Fans

The Shadow Over Innsmouth 🐙

The third gamebook in the popular horror series Choose Cthulhu, steeped in the chilling atmosphere of H. P. Lovecraft. Unlike standard gamebooks, you don't roll dice here; instead, you make difficult decisions that lead the reader either to the truth or to madness in the foggy streets of Innsmouth.

Gamebooks from the Choose Cthulhu series

Legend of Zagor ⚔️

A classic fantasy gamebook Legend of Zagor from the Fighting Fantasy series by Ian Livingstone that will trap you in a labyrinth beneath Firetop Mountain.

Legend of Zagor

Freeway Warrior: Highway Holocaust 🏎️

The first volume of the legendary Freeway Warrior gamebook series by Joe Dever, set in a post-apocalyptic style à la Mad Max. It is interesting because, in addition to managing your own resources (food, water), you must also take care of your car, upgrade its weapons and armor, which gives combat a completely different dynamic.

Lone Wolf 22: The Buccaneers of Shadaki 🏴‍☠️

Part of Joe Dever's legendary saga, in which you take on the role of Kai Grand Master, Lone Wolf. This volume is interesting for its nautical setting and the opportunity to explore more exotic parts of the Magnamund world, while still maintaining the unique character development system that carries over from book to book.

Stones of Chaos 💎

A readable and accessible gamebook Stones of Chaos from the popular World of a Thousand Adventures series. It places great emphasis on logic puzzles and branching storylines that are not as "deadly" as the old-school Fighting Fantasy. It is an ideal piece for those looking for a more modern fantasy adventure with a sophisticated atmosphere and an epic quest.

Island of the Lizard King 🦎

One of the most iconic volumes of Fighting Fantasy, which takes you to a dangerous jungle full of mutants and lizard-men. It is a classic story about rescuing prisoners that stands out for its straightforward action and a very strong final boss, which has become a legend among gamebook collectors.
