Hi, we're imago and we'd like to be on a first-name basis

It’s going to be a bit of a change, but it just doesn't make sense for us to keep using formal language anymore. You might be wondering why now and what it all entails. So, let's dive in!

Why the switch?

Using informal language feels much more natural to us. It’s like meeting friends who share your love for board games or cosplay. Suddenly, you're in a circle of people who "get it" just like you do.

We are all one big community of nerds, geeks, gamers, larpers, cosplayers, otaku, fans—simply put, brothers and sisters in arms. And that’s why we’re switching to informal.  💚

Many of us know each other personally, we meet at events, and what’s more, we share the same passion for all things fantastic. It’s weird to switch back and forth between formal and informal.

Why now?

Honestly, this idea has been bubbling up for a long time; it’s just a big change, and it took us a while to take the plunge. In the end, we concluded that we should have done it sooner. We want our communication to reflect who we really are. 🤝

It will just take us a little while to update all the texts on the website—we’ve written so much over the years—so we hope you’ll forgive the temporary schizophrenia of mixing formal and informal.

What does this mean for you?

Basically? Just that our communication will be a bit more relaxed and friendly. In emails, on social media, or even at our store and festivals. But otherwise, nothing changes. We still have the best selection for you—from games and books to merch and board games. And the imago team (or "customer support team") is still here to help you with whatever you need. So, let’s do this together, like good friends. 💪
