Army Painter: Speedpaint Holy White 2.0

Excellent shading paint. Much better than the original Speedpaints. Just watch out when buying to make sure you get Speedpaint 2.0.
This white ends up looking more like light grey, so keep that in mind. You can always apply a white Dry brush over it if needed. It requires a light base coat, which applies to all speedpaints from Army Painter. You can use different colored bases to achieve various tones, but they must always be light. Otherwise, the result will be way too dark. The base coat always shows through.

Výborná stínovací barva. Mnohem lepší než byly původní Speedpaint. Takže pozor při nákupu, ať berete Speedpaint 2.0.
Tahle bílá vyjde nakonec spíš světle šedá, s tím je potřeba počítat. Kdyžtak se přes ní dá bílý Dry brush. Chce to světlý podklad, to platí obecně pro všechny speedpaints od Army Painter. Může být různě barevný, abyste dosáhli různých barevných tonů, ale vždy světlý. Jinak bude výsledek fakt hodně tmavý. Podkladová barva vždy prosvítá.

I understand your goal for the paint, using a grey shade over a pure white base. With enough thinning, it might even work. But you definitely won't get white out of this paint.

Chápu záměr, jak má barva sloužit, šedý odstín na čistě bílý podklad. Možná s dostatkem thinovaní to může i fungovat. Ale definitivně z téhle barvy nedostanete bílou.

An absolute disappointment for me. I don't know why AP chose 'white' for the name when the color is simply grey. I tried it over Citadel's Grey Seer and the result is an even darker grey; there was no shading effect compared to the Grim Black I used for the black details. You can see the result in the picture—the stormtrooper's left leg is painted with Holy White. The paint is noticeably grey even on the palette, so I don't believe it would give a better result over a white primer... If you really need a white miniature, I definitely don't recommend this.

Za mě absolutní zklamání, nevím proč AP do názvu zvolil white, když ta barva je prostě a jednoduše šedá. Zkusil jsem přes Grey Seer od Citadel a výsledkem je ještě tmavší šedá, stínování se neprojevilo žádné oproti Grim Black, kterou jsem nabarvil černé detaily. Výsledek vidíte na obrázku, levá noha stormtroopera nabarvena Holy White. Už na paletě je ta barva výrazně šedá, takže nevěřím tomu, že by to dalo lepší výsledek přes bílý primer... Pokud potřebujete opravdu bílou figurku, tak za sebe rozhodně nedoporučuji.
