An elastic, non-greasy putty designed for masking areas you don't want to paint.
The difference from masking tape is clear: you can easily mask complex shapes or press the putty into recessed areas (like shield centers, miniature eyes, or car windows when painting pillars) without having to painstakingly cut out precise masks. Suitable for both spray cans and airbrushes.
I don't really recommend it for brush painting, but if you're careful with the amount of paint, it can be done.

The putty itself is easy to portion and leaves no residue on the model. It removes without any issues, and the paint that sticks to it simply kneads away into the black void of oblivion.
There are two downsides: the first is its slight shape instability. After a few hours, you might find that the masked areas have expanded due to gravity (on horizontal surfaces) or started to sag (on vertical ones). It's a shape-retaining, yet still fluid, "goo."
Keep this in mind when spraying models and don't take too long. The second problem applies to masking putties in general: it's very difficult to achieve a perfectly sharp color transition.
For those requirements, it's still better to reach for masking paper or masking fluid.
An absolute and unbeatable plus is the box the black flubber comes in. You don't see something like that every day. It's almost a shame the putty lasts so long.

Elastická nemastná hmota určená k maskování míst, na kterých si při stříkání nepřejete mít barvu.
Rozdíl oproti maskovacím páskám je jasný: lze jednoduše zamaskovat tvarově náročná místa, případně hmotu jednoduše vlepíte do vnitřního tvaru (například středy štítů, oči figur nebo skla aut při barvení nosných sloupků) a nemusíte složitě vyřezávat přesnou masku na konkrétní tvar. Vhodná jak pro spreje tak i airbrush.
Ke štětcům ji moc nedoporučuji, ale pokud si dáte pozor na množství barvy - lze ji použít.

Hmota samotná je lehce porcovatelná a na modelu nezanechává žádné stopy. Sundat se dá naprosto bez problémů a barva která na ní ulpí se hnětením lehce zamíchá do černé nicoty zapomnění.
Nevýhody jsou dvě: tou první je mírná tvarová nestálost, kdy po několika hodinách zjistíte, že maskované plochy se vlivem gravitace rozšiřují (horizontální plochy), nebo jaksi stékají k zemi (vertikální). Je to prostě tvarově stálá, ale přesto stále tekutá ,,kejda".
Při stříkání modelů je třeba na to myslet a zbytečně se nezdržovat. Druhý problém se týká maskovacích hmot obecně: lze jen velmi těžko dosáhnout čistě ostrého přechodu barev.
Pro tyto požadavky je stále lepší sáhnout po maskovacím papíru nebo mascolu.
Naprosté a nedostižné plus je krabička ve které je černý flubber dodáván. Něco takového se hned tak nevidí. Skoro je škoda že hmota vydrží tak dlouho.

Maskovací želé pro malování, ideální pro použití s airbrushem, ale třeba i na maskování určitých částí při drybrushování. Nestrhává barvu. Lepší na větší plochy (na malá místečka mi úplně dobře nedržela)

Černá elastická hmota, která se dobře tvaruje. Hmota je nemastná a dobře poddajná. Šikovná věc na airbrush, ale lze ji použít i na dry brush apod. Určitě najde své využití! :)

Masking putty designed for spray cans and airbrushes. It shapes easily, though it can be a bit tricky to get out of the box. Reusable for a long lifespan... The only downside I've found so far is that even with the best shaping, you might accidentally cover up some details or small parts...

Maskovací hmota určena pro spreje a airbrush. Dobře se tvaruje, ale hůře se doluje z krabičky. Opakované použití zaručuje dlouhou životnost... Jedinou nevýhodou co jsem zatím zjistil je, že i při sebelepším tvarování si některé detaily nebo kousky nechtěně překryjete...
