Chytrý fotbal is a logic board game inspired by real football. The winner is the one who demonstrates true football intelligence—the ability to utilize all players across the pitch and anticipate both attacking and defensive situations.

The playing surface is a stylized copy of a real football pitch. It features a center circle, penalty areas, and goals. The board is covered in a grid, measuring 30 squares long and 19 squares wide. The goals are 9 squares wide, and the penalty area is 13 x 5 squares. The ball can either lie independently on the field or be held on a figure's head, simulating ball control. The figures form two eleven-man teams. Each team is identified by a uniform color, and the figures have numbers on their backs. Crucially, you can always clearly distinguish the front and back of each figure. The goalkeeper operates within the penalty area, where they can move freely. The goalkeeper defends three squares: the one they are standing in and the two adjacent ones.

Players set up their figures on their half of the pitch in any formation, similar to real football (attack, midfield, defense). The figures are designed so that ball possession can be simulated by placing the ball on the figure's head. During the game, both opponents take turns. An action consists of up to five moves with individual figures.
