Now that’s a giant! You’ll be hard-pressed to find a bigger or more repulsive spider miniature. Out of all the spider figures I’ve seen in person, this one is easily the most terrifying, and I can’t wait to start painting it. On the other hand, I’m not looking forward to the assembly and gluing. The spider comes in a five-piece set (the body and 4 long, narrow pieces with pairs of legs). The leg pieces slot into the underside of the body very close together, and even though it’s easy to tell which part goes where, the spider ends up with its legs practically horizontal once assembled. Plus, some of the legs arrived warped. So, putting it together will require bending fairly thick plastic parts and fixing them in place. I usually have a great experience with Reaper minis, but unfortunately, I’m only satisfied with the look of this one.

Tomu říkám obr! Většího a odpudivějšího figurku pavouka jen těžko najdete. Ze všech pavoučích figurek co jsem měl šanci vidět naživo tenhle budí hrůzu asi nejvíce a moc se těším až se pustím do jeho barvení. Na druhou stranu musím říct, že se netěším na skládání a lepení. Pavouk je totiž dodáván v sadě pěti dílů (tělo a 4 dlouhé a úzké díly s páry nohou). Díly s nohami se zasouvají zespodu do těla velmi blízko sebe a přesto, že jde jednoduše poznat, který díl kam patří, tak když pavouka složíte má nohy prakticky vodorovně. Některé nohy navíc přišly špatně zkroucené. Takže sestavení bude vyžadovat ohýbání poměrně tlustých částí plastů a fixace do různých stran. S Reaper minis mám obvykle skvělou zkušenost, ale tady jsem bohužel spokojený jen se vzhledem.

A huge, beautifully crafted, and detailed spider that stands on its own legs without a base. All legs must be attached to the spider's body in pairs. Unfortunately, our spider seems to have had a bit of a rough production run, as the legs are packed quite close together, causing it to tip over onto its abdomen. You'll need to shape them a bit so the spider stands better and looks the part. To keep the weight down, the spider has a hollow abdomen, which shouldn't be a visual issue. I'm not sure about its stability if you were to fill it, especially without a base. Otherwise, I think the figure fits the 'huge' size category and is definitely perfect for a boss encounter.

Obrovský krásně zpracovaný a detailní pavouk, který nemá žádný podstavec jen své nožičky. Všechny nožičky se po dvojících musí spojit se základem pavouka. Náš pavouk bohužel asi prošel trošku nepřívětivou výrobou, protože má nožičky dost nasáčkované k sobě a tedy se převažuje na zadeček. Bude tedy třeba je trošku vytvarovat, aby pavouk stál lépe a působil patřičným efektem. Pro odlehčení má pavouk zespodu dutý zadek, což by vizuálně nemuselo vadit. Při jeho vyplnění si nejsem jist pak jeho stabilitou, pokud by neměl podstavec. Jinak si myslím, že figura odpovídá velikosti huge a rozhodně se hodí pro nějakého bose.
